FAQS about Speech Pathology

During our first appointment, we will spend time getting to know you and what you hope to achieve with AYBL. We will discuss your case history, complete an assessment that highlights communicative strengths and areas for improvement, and collaboratively set functional goals that align with what is most important and meaningful to you.

After the initial appointment, your therapist will write an individualised report detailing the results of the initial assessment and the goals you set together. This will be provided to you within 2 weeks of the assessment.

For most, this is when your therapy journey begins. We will establish a regular time and location to conduct therapy sessions.

The number of sessions will depend entirely on individual circumstances. Therapy is most effective when it is regular and consistent, so we will  generally recommend weekly or fortnightly sessions. Your therapist will make recommendations for therapy frequency and duration and together you can decide how often you or your child will access Speech Pathology.
